WILTSHIRE TRADING STANDARDS:
CALLERS CLAIMING TO BE CARRYING OUT LOFT INSPECTIONS ON BEHALF OF WILTSHIRE COUNCIL
Our customer services team has received a number of calls this morning from Wiltshire residents who have had a call from a withheld number stating that their loft insulation needs to be inspected as a matter of urgency by ‘Wiltshire County Council Conservation Team’.
A trading standards officer has spoken to the Bournemouth-based business and made it clear they should not falsely be claiming to have any association with Wiltshire Council. This business sells roof coatings, air purifiers and replacement roofs. The purpose of their inspection is most likely to attempt to sell unnecessary products to unsuspecting consumers.
Our advice is not to agree to an inspection.
